Chanel's mattes, bullet and liquid, are always outstanding. I just did a little dig through my eye shadow collection. I can pretty much dupe the last 4 Chanel quads with what I have. And thanks to you, I have dived into drugstore products lately. Rimmel has been a pleasant surprise, Designer Brand (an Australian local) has bowled me over with quite a few things too. I love them and I even wore one of them for my wedding and it lasted all day! I’m so glad that I’ve persuaded you to try drugstore. There are some great gems there! I’ll never need a high end non-waterproof mascara again. Maybelline are the winners in this category for me 👌 but waterproof mascara will always be Chanel Le Volume Waterproof for me. I just can’t find a waterproof mascara as good as that, and I’ve tried a lot! Have a lovely weekend 🥰

@@kateaye3506 hi Kate, this is much lighter than BD31. I’m that shade in Chanel, and I have to use a foundation mixer to make it darker. I’d probably say it’s like a warmer B20. I’ve only used this a few times because of the reason I need to mix it with a colour pigment. It’s a lovely foundation though, I just wish they’d bring out more shades 😊

I’m always about inclusivity, and Chanel usually bring it with their collections, however because I know the blushes will only work for super fair skin (like my natural shade), it’s a let down for me. Is there anything you’ll be picking up? 😊

It’s because I know that I always use browns so knew they’d be safe and I’d still get my use out of it, even if it wasn’t the best quality 😊 With the green palette, I just knew I wouldn’t use it at all. I love purple, but I already have a single purple shadow and the Les Beiges Cool palette, so if I want a bit of purple, I’ll go to those. I just think that £50 is a lot of money to spend on a palette I won’t use. 😊

@@estherc6487 thank you so much! 🥰 In all honesty, I did have a search on UA-cam for videos on the collection and there were hardly any. I think people were really out off by the photos. I wasn’t originally going to get the neutral palette, however I’m so glad I did because it’s the only beautiful thing in the collection to me! It’s not really something you need if you have anything similar though. The blushes are so cool toned, I have no idea which skin tone they’d suit 😊

@@Suseau I think it’s quite nice however I know I wouldn’t use it. I think if it was more Halloween, they should have added some shimmer/satin shade to the quad. Maybe a blue to go along with the purple. It just didn’t seem very thought out for autumn. I’m excited to see the holiday collection for this year, but I definitely think the same as you - they did kiss the mark on a few of the items, and the palette seemed like a repeat of their anniversary palette 😊

@@Suseau oh they definitely are pretty 🥰 I think lavender is only really good if you’re very fair as a blush - but could work as a setting powder. And blood orange is actually pretty cool toned as well. Definitely swatch them because I wish I’d done this in store 😂

The eyeshadow is beautiful and I’ve used it quite a few times since the video. But I’d like to ask, why would me using black mascara make me look old? What a very strange thing to mention.

@@ChloeLuckin I don't know maybe it's the lighting. But laminating lashes makes them look more natural and i don't even use mascara or use brown color.

@@BarbaraKrolOfficial it’s only because I decided to not put mascara on my lower lashes. My eyes automatically appear different. I’d probably just say to not mention negative things about someone’s appearances because you could hurt someone’s feelings one day. 😊

I do wear brown mascara and eyeliner too, but I didn’t think this look would look good with it. But lighting plays a massive part in videos with looking different to in natural lighting 😊

@@mattheart9315 thanks for watching 😊 I think both of these would be great for dry skin with redness. They’re both moisturising and have good coverage. I feel like Aqua is a bit more hydrating but has light buildable coverage (it still covers my redness). And complexion touch still feels hydrating, but I’m not sure if the pigment beads would cling to dry patches. This also has light- medium coverage. I think no matter which you choose, you’d like. I’m leaning more towards Aqua for you 😊

@@mattheart9315 I forgot to mention about the other two foundations. With No1, this will definitely not work for dry skin. I had oily skin in my video where I tested it out, and it just looked cakey. I’ve tried it several times and it just doesn’t look nice. I’d stay away from this one. Les Beiges Healthy Glow, this is a beautiful foundation. It’s more like a satin feel - not too glowy and not too matte. I don’t believe this will stick to dry patches at all, but it’s a little less hydrating than the other two before. And it’s a light-medium coverage. Overall, I think the Aqua would be your best bet, and the Complexion touch will also look beautiful. 😊

It really is. I wish that there was a video using it before I purchased it but unfortunately there wasn’t. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this shade, but I’m looking forward to trying the purple 🥰

@@ChloeLuckin Chanel used the pink over the copper, Attaya, on the models at the Fall/Winter 2024/2025 Couture Show and it was gorgeous that way. It’s also a nice inner corner highlight.

@@ChloeLuckin yeah,the Chanel Le Volume is the best overall for me...lately i have been "influenced" with some drugstore items by my teenage daughter..😁😆the Essence Glam&Doll Mascara and the Essence Serums/Primers are very good.

I actually just found out about the boots recycling scheme the other week! I’m definitely going to use it to recycle those extra bits 😊

Hi Peggy, I used ‘Latte’ from the Tartelette toasted palette for the crease, and the grey/pink shade from the KAB Cosmetics Sugar Rush palette over the lid 😊
